Carer’s responsibilities

Dien Le, a Tender Response Analyst in Institutional, works interstate for one week every 5-6 weeks.

"I was based in Melbourne but needed to travel regularly to Brisbane on weekends to spend quality time with my parents and help manage their medical and administrative needs. I applied for flexible working arrangements and this allowed me to work out of the Brisbane office for one week every 5-6 weeks, which was a great help.  

I worked in this manner for nine months (paying for my own flights, transfers and accommodation) and now I do the reverse. I am based in the Brisbane office and travel back to Melbourne. These arrangements have helped me manage my time and care for my parents."
