We've also introduced a special account - ANZ Access Limited - that limits customers' ability to overdraw their account and is free of exception fees. For a monthly service fee of $6, customers have access to unlimited transactions through branches, EFTPOS, ANZ ATMs and Internet Banking.

ANZ MoneyManager lets people see all their financial information, including balances and transactions on their bank accounts, rewards programs and share portfolios, on one secure website. The service is the first of its kind in Australia, is free of charge, and is available to both ANZ customers and people who don't bank with us.
ANZ MoneyManager gives people a "helicopter view" of their finances, which makes it easier for them to budget and manage their money. Users can get reports on their monthly spending across all accounts, set monthly budgets, and even have an email sent to them when their next credit card payment is due.
Progress in 2008
ANZ has introduced a host of new products and services in the past year aimed at making banking simpler and more convenient and to promote increased savings and better money management.
These include the ANZ Access Limited account with no exception fees; the ANZ Simplicity PLUS "no-frills" home loan, part of a broader effort to simplify our range of mortgage products, creating clearer differences between each, and the ANZ MoneyManager online personal finance aggregator.
We also introduced SmartyPig, the online equivalent of the ever popular piggy bank, which allows customers to track their progress against savings goals via social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace or the SmartyPig website
We were also the first bank to give Australian customers access to a First Home Saver Account. This Federal Government initiative provides tax benefits and matched Government contributions to people saving for their first home.
We are also tailoring information, products and services to support a diverse range of ANZ customers, including women, migrant customers and customers with disability.
We launched www.bemoneyconfident.com, Australia's first website dedicated to providing useful financial and lifestyle information for women. ANZ WorldWise makes banking easier for Chinese students moving to Australia to study by allowing families to set up an Australian bank account and transfer funds from their Chinese account into their child's Australian account when needed.
The future
We will continue to identify opportunities to simplify our products and increase conveinence. Our 2009 Corporate Responsibility goals include a commitment to introduce new online products to assist customers to more effectively manage their money.
