In February 2007 Citizens Security Bank (Guam) Inc. (CSB) announced an agreement with ANZ where ANZ would acquire all the shares in CSB.
CSB was founded in 1990 by a group of local business leaders who had identified the need for a second locally charted and community focused bank in Guam. CSB opened its doors in January 1991 with one branch and only six employees. Today CSB has four branches and over 80 staff.
Approval was given for the acquisition to go ahead and on 2 July 2007 CSB formally became a member of the ANZ Group of Companies.
