Catherine McDowell

Catherine is the Managing Director of Private Banking, New Zealand and Australia. Private bank caters for ANZ's highest net worth individuals and family groups, assisting them to manage, grow and preserve their assets.

Catherine has spent a considerable amount of her career in the wealth management business. She joined Barclays Bank after graduating and has held a wide variety of roles including stockbroker for Barclays Capital in New York, Head of Investor Relations for the Group and Director of Barclays Private Bank. More recently, Catherine was Managing Director for Barclays' International Division with responsibility for businesses in over 15 countries globally.
